- The Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority (HTA) is the state agency responsible for representing the Hawaiian Islands around the world and for holistically managing tourism in Hawaiʻi in a sustainable manner consistent with community desires, economic goals, cultural values, preservation of natural resources, and visitor industry needs.
The Hawai‘i Tourism Authority (HTA) is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide evaluation services for a selection of calendar year 2026 major sports and signature events. The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit professional services that will assist HTA in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data on the qualitative, quantitative, and economic impacts of the major sports and community events it sponsors. This evaluation will build upon previous assessments, enabling a longitudinal analysis of HTA's investments in major sports and signature events that benefit both residents and visitors. It will establish a quantitative case for continued investment and provide guidelines and recommendations for improvement.
