- The Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority (HTA) is the state agency responsible for representing the Hawaiian Islands around the world and for holistically managing tourism in Hawaiʻi in a sustainable manner consistent with community desires, economic goals, cultural values, preservation of natural resources, and visitor industry needs.
The HTA is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide to develop and implement a comprehensive Hawaiian Culture Training Program (“Program”) for Hawaiʻi's visitor industry workforce. This program must be designed to serve a statewide audience and ensure accessibility for all levels of the visitor industry, including frontline staff, business owners, and senior leadership.
The goals of the program are:
• To provide the visitor industry, including senior-level management and business owners, with access to comprehensive Hawaiian cultural training.
• To provide opportunities for Native Hawaiian cultural education and training for the workforce. - Contact Person
