Description
Please note: Prospective vendors must be able to demonstrate established access and engagement with the American Psychiatric Association (APA), APA TV, and the APA Conference 2024 (20-24, May 2024).
Background:
The American Psychiatric Association (APA) is partnering again with States and film and broadcasting companies to produce APA TV. This venture serves to raise the visibility of universities, hospitals, mental health centers and institutes that are at the cutting edge of research, training and patient care in psychiatry and mental health, and provides them with a platform to disseminate their successful programs, research, techniques and initiatives to the global psychiatry and mental health communities.
If you would like to get a better understanding of the style and structure of the films, the following link will take you to various APA TV videos: https://www.psychiatry.org/psychiatrists/meetings/annual-meeting/apa-tv
Video Focus:
This video will profile the Hawai’i State DOH in a video highlighting the innovative projects and work taking place through the Children with Special Health Needs Branch (CSHNB).
Distribution:
The APA has a global audience of over 40,000 members practicing in more than 100 countries. The video will be included as a very integral part of the official APA TV broadcast during the APA 2024 Annual Meeting in New York as well as the online components running alongside it as follows:
In-Person Meeting:
• Broadcast throughout the conference on large APA branded screens situated in high traffic locations
• Broadcast on large APA Branded screens at the APA TV Studio
• A highlight version of the video will be included within the daily APA TV highlight shows during the week of the APA Annual Meeting
• Included in all APA TV social media activity on multiple channels done before, during and after the event
• Included in an email that is sent by APA to its full membership as well as attendees of the 2024 APA Annual Meeting before the meeting takes places with announcements of what is coming up on the meeting schedule;
• In the online coverage during the event on the APA website, and on the APA TV YouTube channel
Online Meeting:
APA will run a virtual platform in addition to the in-person APA Annual Meeting for those that are unable to travel to New York. The video will also be housed on the homepage of the APA Annual Meeting virtual platform and highlight version of the video will be included in the daily broadcast to the online attendees.
APA will have a blog on each day of the meeting and they will feature the APA TV Thought Leadership videos within these blogs.
The video will then be broadcast on the media player on the American Psychiatric Association website, and APA TV YouTube channel for a minimum of 12 months after the 2024 APA Annual Meeting.
Format:
The 5-minute video will be shot in high definition 16:9 widescreen ratio. The finished edited film can be supplied to us in any file format (e.g. .mp4, .mov, .fov).
Supply master copies of the final edited video, as well as a shorter 1-minute highlight version for social media output, and all the raw material from the shoot on an electronic hard drive.
Editorial Control:
We will have editorial oversight over the content of the video. Selected production company will not broadcast any footage on the Hawai’i State DOH until DOH has signed off the final proof of the video to confirm that we are happy with the content and confirmed that it conforms with any relevant brand guidelines we may have.
