These Peer-to-Peer discussions and support groups will include child development, nutrition, learning through play, child health and safety, fostering resilience and other topics beneficial to families. These Peer-to-Peer services will also promote the protective factors that reduce child abuse and neglect and support children and families to thrive.
The Peer-to-Peer framework is based on families supporting and helping other families. This approach is recognized internationally, nationally, and in Hawaii to increase positive outcomes for young children. Peer-to-Peer discussions and support groups provide families with an environment where content knowledge and guidance are more likely to be shared, accepted, learned, and practiced with their families. - Contact Person
